Description from the seller

Dei
134x66 cm
Mixed media
2025

I created this work because I know I am light, but sometimes I forget it.
This applies to everyone: each one, sooner or later, loses touch with their essence.
This is a work that recalls, not explains.
A gentle invitation to turn inward, to listen to oneself again.
The body at the center has no definite face, but is full of marks. It is a sacred space, a being open to transformation. Up top, on the forehead, there is an eye: a symbol of consciousness, of inner vision.
A thin beam connects it to the triangle in the chest, seat of the heart and spiritual strength.
That connection represents verticality, the dialogue between the divine and the earthly.
Around, the background is alive:
• The lunar phases: the passing of time, the feminine, the invisible cycles that govern us.
• Two lightning bolts: they are the shock, the unforeseen, but also the energy that breaks.
• At the bottom, there is a door: a symbol of passage, of choice and possibility. One can cross it or stay. It is free will.
Alchemical symbols are scattered through the body like codes to decipher.
They represent the elements (air, water, earth, fire), unity (circles), balance (opposite triangles) and transformation (spiral).
They are not placed by chance: each speaks a subtle, ancient and universal language.
Then, the more human detail:
a heart formed by our real fingerprints and the pawprints of our dogs.
It is not just an affectionate gesture: it is a declaration of love, my sacred circle.
Everything is connected by a phrase, engraved on the frame, as if carved inside:
“For you who are light, but you have forgotten it.”
It is not a sad sentence.
It is a reminder. A caress. A gentle way to say: “Remember who you are.”
This work is a center.
A place to return to.
Not to get lost, but to recognize oneself.
