In June 1989, after the massacre in Beijing, a man stopped on the trajectory of a row of tanks leaving Tiananmen Square and entered the history books. It was an unexpected act of defiance. Also brave. More than thirty years later, there are still many things we do not know: what happened to the man, why he was carrying two shopping bags, and the nature of his exchange with the truck driver. I hope that one day we will learn more.
