The work collects "confessions" or testimonies—presumably conversations—between Benito Mussolini and Father Eusebio that took place between 1944 and 1945, during the Italian Social Republic.
Include documents from the National Archives of the State Department in Washington (microfilm T856/T586, reel 1048).
It is accompanied by reproductions of oil-on-canvas paintings and various iconographic materials.
The preface is by Rachele Mussolini (wife of Benito Mussolini).
