Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Waterman 52 V fountain pen, made in the United States, body in celluloid with gold plating and 14K Waterman Ideal nib; 11.1 cm long, 1.1 cm in diameter, lever-fill system in working order, in good condition with signs of age.
Description from the seller
A0000001996
The pen is in very good overall condition, especially notable given its centennial age. The body and cap, made of mottled ebonite, retain natural shine and vivid coloration, with an attractive marbling in brown, red, and black tones well defined, free from signs of severe discoloration or deep oxidation, something quite uncommon for this type of material.
Wear marks characteristic of time and handling are observed, visible only under careful inspection, with no cracks, fissures, or structural deformations. The threads function correctly and maintain a firm and precise fit.
The Waterman Ideal nib in solid 14K gold is in excellent condition, with aligned tines, well-preserved iridium, and an intact breather hole. It exhibits the model's characteristic flex, offering expressive and controlled writing. No bends, cracks, or repairs are evident.
The ebonite feeder is complete and in good condition, ensuring a stable and continuous ink flow.
The lever-loading system works properly, with an operational mechanism and good response. (Ink bag replaced or inspected to ensure proper operation, if applicable please indicate.)
The metallic features, including the clip and decorative rings, retain a uniform gold finish, with slight surface wear consistent with age, with no significant losses or corrosion.
Overall, it is an authentic, well-preserved, and fully functional specimen, suitable for both collection and regular use, faithfully representing the quality and prestige of Waterman fountain pens from the early 20th century.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for its proper preservation.
