Montblanc fountain pen, model 122 S, with a resin body and gold-plated trim, 14K nib engraved “4810”, made in Germany in the mid-20th century, in good used condition and fully functional.
Description from the seller
A0000003437
The pen is in very good overall condition for its age, maintaining excellent structural integrity and its original configuration.
The translucent brown resin body retains very good depth of color and natural shine, with the material's characteristic transparency visible under direct light. Surface micro-scratches, due to use and the passage of time, are evident, with no cracks, fissures, or structural deformations. The inscription “122 S” on the heel remains visible and legible.
The striped ink window maintains good definition and functionality, allowing the ink level to be viewed clearly.
The cap maintains proper alignment and a secure closure. The original Montblanc clip retains good tension and proper attachment. The gold plating on the clip and the ring shows light, uniform wear consistent with its age, with no structural damage or corrosion.
The upper Montblanc emblem is intact, with wear minimal for its age.
The piston-loading system is functioning correctly, completing the full stroke with the appropriate resistance and without appreciable backlash.
The original 14C gold nib engraved “4810” is structurally intact, with the tines correctly aligned and without cracks. There are light microscopic signs of normal use on a vintage piece, preserving its shape and aesthetic presence. The feed retains its well-defined fins.
Overall, it is an honest specimen, well-preserved and mechanically functional, with normal signs of wear consistent with an original Montblanc from the 1950s, with no invasive restorations or visible alterations.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for its proper preservation.
