Description from the seller
Inkjet print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 g/m² paper
Photo dimensions: 20x30 cm
Mat dimensions in white cardstock 40×50 cm, edition 7/20
Giuseppe Palmisano was born on November 4 in Ceglie Messapica, a small town in Puglia.
Growing up among flour and traditions, I came into contact with art as a teenager, beginning to do theatre and clowning. All this, together with a strong fascination for symbols, aesthetics, and scenography, pushed me to buy a camera and to begin investigating the relationship between man and the space that surrounds him.
In 2009 he moved to Rome, where he began working for a theater company. In the following years he changed about thirty homes, and I lived in ten different cities.
In 2012 I began a new photographic exploration based on the figure of the woman, seen as the supreme expression of nature. The role—and the image—of the woman has always been central in their work, and their goal is to deprive that image of its intrinsic eroticism.
From here iosonopipo was born.
In 2019 I decided to sell the artistic identity of iosonopipo on a well-known auction site. It was purchased by Francesco R. After three years the archive was bought by Mario Mondaini Studio and Giuseppe returns to direct it to continue investigating the identity, to use it as a meeting between people, as a liberating and cathartic moment. He currently lives in Milan.
