Beautifully illustrated with an engraved frontispiece, an engraved title page, 4 plates with full page engravings including tissue guards, as well as many woodcut vignettes throughout the text. Very little rubbing, bumping, and wear to the boards and spine. Some small damage to the protective mylar cover. Pen inscription on the front free endpaper. Some browning and spotting throughout. The text and illustrations are clear, the paper is crisp, and the binding is solid. Overall, a handsome copy in very good condition.
