Parker Lucky Curve True Blue fountain pen, transitional 1931–1932, with True Blue blue marbled cap of celluloid and amber laminated body, 14k gold nib, button filling mechanism, 126.4 mm long and 10.5 mm in diameter, made in the United States, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
This specimen of Parker Lucky Curve True Blue, corresponding to the transitional period of 1931–1932, is presented in an exceptional state of preservation within its category. It is a historical piece whose original blend of True Blue celluloid on the cap and Amber Laminated celluloid on the body makes it a scarce variant, highly valued by Parker pre-Vacumatic collectors.
The cap preserves the characteristic pearlescent blue celluloid with ivory-toned veining, typical of the original True Blue model. Its surface maintains the natural shine and texture of the material without cracks or deformations, which is particularly notable in pieces of this age. The clip with PARKER engraving remains firm, well aligned, and with minor but uniform gold wear, while the three gold bands remain intact and properly seated in the cap’s structure.
The body, made of amber laminated celluloid, is likewise well preserved. It radiates a deep shine and a characteristic transparency that are very well preserved, with no signs of crystallization or material deterioration. The Lucky Curve engraving is legible, faithful testimony to an early production that is increasingly difficult to find. The nib end and the lever show natural aging typical of metal, without affecting the mechanical integrity of the piece.
The 14-karat gold nib, engraved with the Parker brand, shows excellent structural integrity: the nib tines are aligned, the point is clean and free of deformities, and the surface retains its original hue. The ebonite feed, with its characteristic grooved structure, is complete and in very good condition.
The button-filling mechanism operates correctly, with a firm lever and no play, indicating proper maintenance and responsible preservation over time. The cap and body threads operate smoothly and precisely, without excessive wear.
Overall, this transitional Parker Lucky Curve True Blue represents an extraordinary example of historical preservation: authentic, aesthetically coherent, functional, and highly collectible. Its condition makes it an ideal piece for a top-tier collection as well as for those seeking a vintage fountain pen with real character and an unmistakable identity within the Parker legacy.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
