Montblanc 244 G fountain pen in black resin with a solid 14K gold nib, piston-filler and ink window, made in Germany in the late 1940s to early 1950s, in good used condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
A0000003170
The pen is in very good overall condition, considering its age (late 1940s – early 1950s) and its fully vintage character.
The body and the cap, made of black resin, exhibit a deep and even gloss, keeping the original finish very well. Very slight surface signs of wear are observed, visible only under close inspection, consistent with the passage of time and in no way affecting the aesthetics or the functionality of the piece. No cracks, fractures, or repairs are observed.
The gold finishes (clip and rings) retain a very proper, elegant appearance, with slight localized wear, uniform and elegant, typical of a pen that has been cared for over the years. The clip maintains good tension and alignment.
The 14K solid gold nib is in very good condition, clean, well defined, and without any visible deformations. Its engravings are perfectly preserved, and it presents an aligned and healthy appearance, indicative of normal and proper use.
The piston feed system is shown complete and functional, with a translucent ink window clearly visible, preserving its structural integrity.
All in all, it is an authentic, original, and well-preserved Montblanc 244 G, a high-quality vintage piece, ideal for both collectors and everyday use, that preserves the charm, sturdiness, and elegance of post-war Montblanc.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box to ensure proper preservation.
