Renato Mambor (1936-2014), born in Rome. A prominent figure of the experimental artistic phenomenon known as the Rome youth movement (giovane scuola di Roma), developed in the capital in the 1960s, alongside names such as Mario Schifano. Mambor often exhibited with friends such as Schifano himself, Franco Angeli, Tano Festa, Cesare Tacchi, Francesco Lo Savio and Sergio Lombardo. His first exhibition took place in 1959 in Rome, at the Galleria “L’Appia Antica”. In June of the following year he won one of the “Encouragement Prizes” of the Galleria d’Arte Moderna, and then exhibited at Plinio De Martiis’s Galleria La Tartaruga in 1963, 1964 and in the following years.
