Description from the seller
Jan Hendrikse – Zero (2019)
Special and elegant edition of the internationally renowned Dutch Nul artist Jan Hendrikse (1937–2020). This work closely aligns, both in content and form, with his iconic practice in which serial repetition, everyday objects, and minimal interventions are central.
The composition shows a subtle relief of circular elements arranged in an oval formation – a characteristic motif within Hendrikses' oeuvre, in which repetition and neutrality lead to a still, almost meditative visual language. The work embodies, in exemplary fashion, the aesthetics of the Zero Movement.
