Frits van Eeden (1944-2022) grew up in The Hague.
He is pursuing his professional training in The Hague and Amsterdam. After three years of working in London, he moves to the United States and, following a 'Best of' show, is offered a part-time job by the Brevard Art Centre and Museum in Melbourne, Florida. Search
Born on March 13, 1944, in Tilburg and later The Hague, he grew into an internationally recognized artist.
Participation in "De Vrije School" in The Hague stimulated his creative mind, interest, and proficiency in the arts.
His early interest was fostered by private tutors such as Ed Stralitski, Theo Bitter, Wim Beuning, Bram Roth, Derk Bus, and Jan Goeting. All of them renowned artist-members of the "Pulchri Studio", the home of the famous "Hague School".
After his studies at the "Rietveld Academy" with Ben Guntenaar (Sculptor), Frits was offered membership of the "Pulchri Studio" where he engaged in sculpture and painting. Frits was the first member to be admitted more than once in a discipline, which is evident in the "3-D" quality
