João ‘Nitcho’ Teves (1981, Rio de Janeiro) began at a young age with music and, from his twenties, also developed as a street artist, with graffiti and urban art on the streets of Rio. After completing his graphic design education at PUC-RJ, the city grew to become his main source of inspiration. As a musician and DJ, he was active within various collectives and deeply immersed himself in black music cultures such as reggae, rap, and soul. In his painting, music and imagery come together: Nitcho reframes photographs and urban impressions into his own universe, in which the sound and energy of the city are central.
Dimensions: 130 x 130 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. Additionally, we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we collaborate with restorers from the professional organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you wish to make use of this service, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
