Description from the seller
Bernard Aubertin (1934–2015), known for being a leading figure of the Zero Group and for his iconic use of the color red, which he associated with fire and energy. The work depicts a scale model of a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia produced originally between 1955 and 1974, one of the artist's recurring themes—the series of burned cars. The model is coated with streams of glossy red paint that seem to gush from the car itself, creating a strong contrast with the matte black base. The work is officially registered at the Bernard Aubertin Works Archive with the storage number VTBR01-1000398223. Certificate from the archive attached.
The lot will be carefully packed and shipped with contracted couriers. For this lot, shipments outside the European Community are not made.
