Jarrón floral; 1942 oil painting by Escuela europea (XX) from Europe, in the academic realism tradition, depicting a glass vase with four roses; sold with a frame.
Description from the seller
Title: Floral Vase
School: European School (20th Century)
Style: Academic Realism
Technique: Oil on board
Centerpiece floral composition focused on a transparent crystal vase housing four roses in different stages of opening, in shades of red, pink, and ivory white. The flowers emerge with volume and delicacy against a dark background tinged with soft greenish fabric folds, which add depth and contrast to the scene.
The painting technique reveals a meticulous execution, especially in the chromatic gradation of the petals and in the light reflections on the glass vase, where transparencies and refractions are carefully worked. Lateral lighting highlights textures and creates an effect of chiaroscuro that emphasizes the naturalism of the whole.
Work dated 1942 and signed, although the signature could not be identified with certainty. It is situated within the European realist tradition of the mid-20th century, preserving the technical heritage of the classic still life.
It features a molded wooden frame in walnut tone, with simple lines and a stepped section. The finish is smooth, with a slight patina appropriate to its age, contributing sobriety and visual balance to the composition.
Observations:
Good overall condition for its age. There is surface dirt on the protective glass and slight signs of use on the frame.
Measurements:
53 x 48.5 cm (with frame)
42.2 x 37.7 cm (without frame)
The frame comes as a gift. It may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging.
The works are shipped without insurance. If you wish to arrange shipping insurance, please request it in advance via private message. If not requested, we will not be responsible for any damage that may occur during transport.
Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to circumstances such as being outside a continental territory, excess dimensions, or weight of the item. PremiArt will in no case be responsible for this surcharge.
Due to problems at the border with Switzerland, we inform you that shipments with a length or height exceeding 1 meter to that destination will not be carried out.
