For all watches with steel bracelet and leather, rubber, nato straps, etc., it is possible to remove links, pierce/shorten with the right tools. If you cannot do it yourself, kindly consult a professional.
All automatic watches need a power reserve when first used; merely moving the wrist is not enough to maintain the required power reserve.

RULE FOR ALL WATCHES WITH DATE
To avoid potential damage to the movement, please do not set the date via the crown when the time is between 21:00 and 03:00. It is advisable to set the date via the crown when the time is between 03:05 and 20:55 (Some models have a screw-down crown; to adjust, gently unscrew the crown counterclockwise. Don’t forget to securely screw the crown back after setting.)
