Description from the seller
Still Life in the Kitchen is a 70 by 100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this work, the domestic sphere becomes a vibrant stage of color and balance. A red, glossy, rounded teapot dominates the table, like a blazing heart at the center of the composition. Its rounded form contrasts with the vertical lines of the tablecloth, creating a dynamic dialogue between structure and fluidity.
The turquoise tablecloth, covered with loose floral motifs, brings freshness and movement, while two green apples rest beside it, introducing a natural counterpoint that softens the intensity of the red. The yellow chair, bathed in warm light, adds a luminous accent that balances the scene and reinforces the cozy feel of the space.
In the background, the kitchen appears fragmented into planes of color: blues, corals, whites, and multicolored mosaics that suggest depth without losing the pictorial synthesis. The visible, expressive brushstrokes bring spontaneity and energy, maintaining a harmony between the decorative and the emotional.
The work conveys intimacy and vitality. It is an everyday scene, but charged with character, where each object seems arranged with intention. A tribute to daily life, to the light that enters the kitchen and transforms simple gestures —preparar el té, sentarse, mirar— into moments full of color and presence.
