Giuseppe Palmisano was born on November 4 in Ceglie Messapica, a small town in Apulia. He grows up amid flour and traditions and comes into contact with art as a teenager, starting to do theater and clowning. All of this, together with a strong fascination for symbols, aesthetics and scenography, pushed him to buy a camera and to begin exploring the relationship between man and the space that surrounds him. In 2009 he moves to Rome, where he begins to work for a theatre company. In the following years he changes about thirty homes and has lived in ten different cities. In 2012 he began a new photographic exploration based on the figure of the woman, seen as the ultimate expression of nature. The role — and the image — of the woman has always been central in his work, and his aim is to deprive that image of its intrinsic eroticism. From here iosonopipo was born. In 2019 I decided to sell the artistic identity of iosonopipo on a well-known auction site. It was bought by Francesco R. After three years the archive was purchased by Mario Mondaini Studio and Giuseppe returns to direct it to continue exploring identity, using it as a meeting between people, as a liberating and cathartic moment. He currently lives in Milan.
