Description from the seller

This is a pipe of excellent craftsmanship, a classic piece from one of the most respected brands in the world.

Identification and Origin
Brand: Stanwell. It is the best-known Danish brand, renowned for combining large-scale production with high-quality designs, many of them created by master craftsmen (such as Sixten Ivarsson).

Line: Buffalo. This series is generally characterized by its smooth finish that highlights the grain, and very often by the distinctive horn band (or high-quality horn imitation) between the shank and the mouthpiece.

Origin: Made in Denmark, which is a quality hallmark for collectors, since a large part of current production has moved abroad.

Physical Features
Material: High-quality Briar. The grain is very interesting, with a bird's-eye at the base and flame figure on the sides.

Shape: A variant of a Pot or a chunky Billard. It has a thick-walled hornillo, which helps keep the pipe from overheating while smoking.

Mouthpiece: Black in color (probably vulcanite or acrylic), with the crowned metal S logo inlaid, typical of Stanwell.

Aesthetic Detail: The cream/amber ring with dark veining is the distinctive touch of the Buffalo series, providing an elegant contrast between the reddish wood and the dark mouthpiece.

Condition
The pipe is in exceptional condition, with no marks, used at most once; however, it has been cleaned, polished and sanitized.

The hornillo is in excellent condition.

The exterior finish retains an excellent shine, suggesting it has been well cared for.

Value for the Smoker/Collector
Stanwell pipes from the Danish era are famous for being exceptional “smoking tools.” They are very reliable pipes, with air-flow engineering that has been well studied.

Measurements: length 15 cm. Hornillo height 4.0 cm. Outer hornillo diameter 4.0 cm. Inner hornillo diameter 2.2 cm.
