Description from the seller

Joseph Beuys: "Honey Pump at the Workplace" at Documenta 6 in Kassel, 1977.

Stamped twice by Joseph Beuys (see photo 2), which counts as a signature.
Also stamp of the photographer "Photo Dieter Schwerdtle, Kassel", as well as edition stamp "Edition Sander, Kassel."

Original vintage print. Pencil note on the verso: "Honey Pump at the Workplace, unpublished photograph. Original print on Barite paper."

Dieter Schwerdtle is practically the 'house photographer' of Documenta in Kassel and photographed five consecutive editions (from Documenta 5 to Documenta 11). His photographs of Joseph Beuys are still very influential in shaping the public image of the artist, and were published in numerous books about his work.

"Honey Pump at the Workplace" (Honey pump at the workplace, 1977) is one of the best-known installations by the German artist Joseph Beuys. It is the ultimate visual realization of his concept of Social Sculpture (Sociale beeldhouwkunst).
