Artist Andrea Imwiehe (born 1970) presents Memory Room_19, a 2010 acrylic painting on wooden ground, signed, with certificate of authenticity, in grey-beige-white tones depicting architecture, 14 by 14 cm, weight 1 kg.
Description from the seller
Andrea Imwiehe works in a combination of acrylic painting and line drawing, where the lines are drawn directly into the acrylic paint to form a sunken relief.
“Memory Room” is an abstract exploration of space and memory. The acrylic paint, enriched with sand texture, gives the scene tangible depth – as if the memory is anchored not only in lines and shapes but also in the surface itself. The sketchy rendering makes the space appear fragmented, as if reconstructed from memory. The soft, restrained colors enhance the sense of transience, while the open composition provides room for personal associations. A quiet moment snapshot that makes the fleeting and at the same time enduring of memories feel tangible.
