A Japanese vintage hanging lamp from the Showa period, featuring a bold industrial design. The structure is composed of a riveted iron frame with distinctive wire mesh side panels, giving the piece a strong utilitarian character.
The interior is fitted with milky-white acrylic panels that help to diffuse the light softly when illuminated. The oxidised texture of the iron frame and the aged chain reflect a wabi-sabi aesthetic, embracing the beauty of age and imperfection. When suspended, the total height measures approximately 55 cm.
Functionality has not been tested. There is rust present on the iron frame and chain, along with overall age-related dirt and wear. The internal screw support post shows looseness and slight bending. Please refer to the photos for details.
