The damage must be reported to your local post office within 7 days of delivery, and promptly to us and Catawiki support. 【Product details】 This early 20th century Chinese brass incense burner features a rounded body with a fitted lid and an upright arched handle, reflecting traditional metalwork intended for ritual use as well as decorative display. The lid is decorated with an openwork relief of a dragon surrounded by swirling cloud motifs. The dragon is rendered in a dynamic, expressive manner and is traditionally associated with protection, strength, and auspicious power. The pierced design allows incense smoke to pass through while adding sculptural depth to the piece. There are a few breaks and losses to the openwork decoration on the lid, one small hole on the base, and areas of verdigris, discolouration, surface marks, and patina consistent with age and use.
