Bruno Cantais, professional painter based in Lyon, is registered as a contributor with the Maison des Artistes.
Born in 1966 in Le Havre.
Bruno Cantais explores several techniques, ranging from the abstract expressionism of Rauschenberg, to material projections, to Pop Art collage or expressionism.
He digs into the surface of the canvas, carving furrows that seem to open paths or sometimes get lost in the fogs of color. His inspiration is order and disorder, of what is felt and perceived, of shadow and light, of emptiness and fullness.
