Original work by Italian painter Giancarlo Cazzaniga, signed at the bottom right and titled, dated and authenticated by the artist on the back: “Ginestre – Giancarlo Cazzaniga – 1981”.
The painting depicts a natural landscape interpreted in an expressive key, characterized by a strong painterly gesture and intense chromatic material. The subject of ginestra, recurring in the artist’s production, is rendered with a vigorous and dynamic brushstroke, typical of the informal-figurative language that marked his research in the seventies and eighties. The dark and earthy tonalities are illuminated by bright yellow accents, creating a strong chromatic contrast and a suggestive atmospheric depth.
