Description from the seller

Original Polaroid with a custom-painted wooden frame (which adds a subtle depth and enhances the photo).
Photo taken in Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris with my muses Marie, Nicolas and Lucas.

Vanda Spengler was born in Switzerland in 1982 into a whimsical family that loves words. Her grandmother is the feminist novelist Régine Deforges. « She transmitted to me a certain taste for transgression and freedom of expression. Nudity has always been simple, the relation to the body without taboos. I knew very early that image would be my medium of choice. » A lover of cinema, it is through this prism that she discovered photography. Advancing alone in this new discipline, Narcisse à vif, she explores the nude self-portrait. The need to capture other bodies in what is most raw and unbalanced about them asserted itself in her. Her task now is to shed light on the diversity of these bodies.
