Original 80 × 80 cm acrylic painting on canvas by JP Douchez, titled De rouille et de bois, signed by hand and back-stamped with a certificate of authenticity, produced in France in 2026, depicting a marine subject in a contemporary style; sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
- From Rust and Wood - 80x80 cm, an original work by JP Douchez entirely handmade on canvas, this piece is not a print or giclée and was not generated by AI. Wooden frame 40mm thick. Signed, countersigned on the back with a certificate of authenticity by the artist. Sold without framing. An original and unique work rich in material, created with a painting knife.
My work claims expressionism, figurative, with landscapes as my preferred subject, the coast, this place where land and sea meet, where I take liberties of interpretation and let my impressions roam. Colors are applied in a generous impasto. The choice of the knife simplifies the forms and gives strength and energy to the canvas.
In Europe, my works, largely acquired by private collectors, are present in galleries and auction rooms.
The canvas is protected by bubble wrap with its invoice. The package is shipped by carrier depending on destination: La Poste or UPS
