S.T. Dupont Olympio ballpoint pen in red Chinese lacquer with gold‑plated clip, rings and fittings, 136 mm long and 12 mm in diameter, serial 5D9CJ22, made in France in the late 20th century, in good used condition with minor signs of wear, twist mechanism functioning smoothly and clip straight, supplied in a presentation box.
Description from the seller
The pen is presented in very good condition, maintaining an elegant and solid presence, in line with an original S.T. Dupont Olympio. The body in red Chinese lacquer preserves a deep and uniform shine, with slight micro-scratches typical of normal use and the passage of time, visible only under close inspection. No dents, cracks, or lacquer losses are observed.
The gold-plated finishes (clip, rings and caps) are well preserved, with a uniform shine and no significant material losses; only minimal fine marks compatible with careful use are observed. The engravings “S.T. Dupont – Paris” remain sharp and perfectly legible.
The twist mechanism works correctly, with smooth and precise operation, allowing proper extension and retraction of the lead. The clip is straight, firm and fully functional, with no looseness.
In summary, this is an original, elegant pen that is fully suitable for daily use as well as for collection, with a conservation level higher than usual for models of this era.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
