Montblanc Writers Edition Alexandre Dumas fountain pen (1996) in good used condition with a black resin cap, marmored resin body, gold-plated clip, rings and cone, 13 cm long, 1.3 cm diameter, manufactured in Germany, serial 07065/16000 N, in working order.
Description from the seller
The Montblanc Writers Edition Alexandre Dumas (1996) fountain pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing an excellent level of preservation consistent with a carefully maintained collectible piece.
The cap in polished black resin retains a deep, uniform shine, with very light micro-scratches only visible under close inspection and direct light, typical of occasional use and the passage of time. No dents, cracks, or material loss are evident.
The body in marbled resin maintains its original amber and brown tones, with well-defined veining and no discolorations, cracks, or structural marks. The surface presents a clean, even finish, with no signs of significant wear.
The gold-plated elements — clip, rings, and cone — are in very good condition, with bright gold plating and no visible losses of plating. The clip perfectly preserves its decorative relief, including the portrait of Alexandre Dumas, with well-defined edges.
The Montblanc star on the upper cap is complete, centered, and undamaged.
The engraved serial number and the maker marks are crisp and fully legible.
The turning mechanism operates smoothly and precisely, deploying and retracting the nib correctly.
Overall, this is a very well-preserved example, ideal for both a discerning collector and occasional use, notable for its excellent aesthetic presence and proper functionality.
