Esper Hagen (1964–2008), an abstract acrylic painting titled Bodyguard, created in 2007, in an original edition, measuring 115 by 75 cm, hand-signed, originating from the Netherlands, sold by Galerie, in good condition.
Description from the seller
From the mid-90s onwards Espen Hagen has worked closely with his friend Herman Brood. Espen exhibited twice in Café Dante, one time together with Brood. In 1997 they also exhibited together again, this time in the Arsenaal of Jan des Bouvrie in Naarden. Through their regular joint appearances and the many canvases they produced together, Espen Hagen is often referred to as the protégé and successor of Herman Brood.
Espen Hagen was seen as the “coming man” in Dutch painting. Thanks to numerous exhibitions both at home and abroad and his regular television appearances, the star of this talented artist rose markedly. Espen Greger Hagen passed away on 10 April 2008.
