Description of the Lot

Details of the piece:
Magnificent pocket lighter of Japanese manufacture, a classic of the golden era of automatic lighters. This model features an elegant body with a satin chrome finish and a central diamond-shaped engraving with very detailed floral/classic motifs.
Engravings on the base: Includes the Sarome brand, the designation "Swallow", the manufacturer S.G.W. MFG. CO., and the inscription "Excellent Automatic Lighter".
Mechanism: Automatic push system. It retains the two original lower screws (for fuel loading and flint replacement).
Accessories: Comes with its original presentation box in mint green with a red velvet interior, which significantly increases its collectible value.
Aesthetic and Technical Condition:
Aesthetic: In very good visual condition. The chrome retains its shine with minimal signs of use consistent with its age (see photos for details).
Function: The lighter does not currently work and is sold as a collectible item or for restoration. The push mechanism moves, but it requires technical inspection, tank cleaning, and possibly replacement of flint/wick.
Box: The box shows signs of wear and remnants of an old label on the back (see photos), but is structurally solid.
