Carla Sutera Sardo - AQVA JUNGLE

CARLA SUTERA SARDO (Agrigento, 1983) approached photography out of passion during her university years spent between Palermo and Rome. After the initial, self-taught approach to photography, through the “self-portrait,” she dedicates herself to greater experimentation, linked to the more unusual and uncontaminated aspects of the Sicilian nature, and develops a personal language that allows her to express her view of things through the camera. Her research focuses on women and the communication between bodies and landscapes. The constant aim is to create dreamlike images, suspended in time.
Her photographs have been published by magazines such as L’oeil de la Photographie and Vogue Italia and have received recognitions including the Sony World Photography Awards, the Siena Photography Awards, and the Prix de la Photographie.
Carla Sutera Sardo has exhibited in London, Turin, Florence, Palermo, Zhengzhou, Gibellina, Paris and Slovenia.
