Montblanc 100 Years Anniversary Historical Edition rollerball/fineliner with a black resin body and gold-plated trims, limited to 30,000 pieces (serial 17576/30000), 13 cm long and 1.2 cm in diameter, made in Germany in the early 20th century and in excellent working condition.
Description from the seller
In this lot we present a collectible piece steeped in history and retro charm: the Montblanc 100 Years Anniversary Historical Edition. Released in 2006 to celebrate the centenary of the maison's foundation (1906-2006), this limited edition draws aesthetic inspiration from the very first writing instruments produced by Simplo Filler Pen Co., echoing the iconic shapes of the historic "Rouge et Noir".
The body of the instrument is made of premium black resin with a tapered and vintage line, embellished with gold-plated fittings and rings that enhance its classic elegance. The cap is the true protagonist of the design: it features the ancient mountain logo engraved with extreme precision and the summit is crowned by the Montblanc emblem in ivory color, reproducing the tone of the early productions of the last century. The clip, with its distinctive teardrop design, is a direct homage to the archive models.
The example up for auction is in excellent condition, as shown by the resin’s shine and the integrity of the plating. On the cap the individual serial number 17576/30000 is clearly engraved, attesting to its belonging to this prestigious worldwide limited edition. The instrument is in Rollerball/Fineliner configuration and comes with an original refill that works perfectly.
