“Icons” by TOMEH 1988, a unique original artwork in mixed media (Indian ink and acrylic) on vintage book pages, measuring 73 × 106.5 cm, hand-signed, year 2026, in the Pop Art style, from the Netherlands, in excellent condition and weighing 500 g, with a laminated Certificate of Authenticity included.
Description from the seller
“Icons” explores the visual language of contemporary culture — where identity is constructed through symbols, heroes, and collective imagination.
The composition merges portraiture with universally recognizable emblematic forms, creating a layered face shaped by modern mythology. A central blue eye anchors the work, confronting the viewer while surrounded by graphic fragments that reference strength, heroism, femininity, and media-driven identity.
Executed in Indian ink and acrylic on carefully selected vintage book pages, assembled and meticulously adhered into a single surface, the artwork balances bold color fields with expressive black gestures. The contrast between controlled graphic elements and spontaneous brushstrokes reinforces the tension between constructed image and authentic self.
