Description from the seller
Boutet is a Quebecoise artist creating digital works on canvas.
Since the mid-90s, he creates, invents, animates characters for television and the Web, for books and magazines, for large international companies such as Universal Music, Hallmark, Colgate, Scholastic, the Canadian Olympic Committee, the Museum of Civilization, etc. His characters become figurines, plush toys, jewelry. His logos project a strong image for the companies that entrust him with the challenge of presenting them clearly.
Boutet has always been impressed and inspired by Picasso, Haring and Miró, by the great traditional masters and by eclectic modern artists. “If Picasso had had a computer, imagine what he would have created!”
Boutet masters illustration, 3D drawing, video animation and painting. Today, he applies all his experience as a creator of digital art in a style that is entirely unique and personal.
Boutet’s works are avant-garde while remaining classic subjects. The impressive grace of his characters stems from his vision, from his design, from his choice of materials and their arrangement, all fused into a spatial lightness that he builds from scratch.
With such a vision, experience and all these learnings, it is no surprise that Boutet creates a new form of art, digital sculpture!
