Description from the seller
Josip (active in the late 20th century)
Window onto a mountain landscape, 1990
The work offered for sale here is exactly the one visible in the photographs of the listing.
Original painting created in 1990 by Josip, an artist active across Europe at the end of the 20th century. The painting depicts a geometric window opening onto a stylized mountain landscape, with a turquoise sky and light clouds, creating a suggestive dialogue between interior and exterior space.
The composition, rigorous and balanced, recalls figurative-conceptual painting and post-Magritte surrealism, typical of European production in the 1980s and 1990s. The color surfaces are clean, the forms are essential, the atmosphere is suspended and contemplative.
Signature and date: signed “Josip” and dated 1990 at the bottom right.
Technique: painting on canvas (uniform color fields, even application).
Frame: period frame, as in the photographs.
Conditions: generally good condition.
An authentic work with strong decorative impact, ideal for collectors of European contemporary painting or to enhance modern, refined interiors.
