Description from the seller
Here we present at auction an icon of subtle, aristocratic elegance from Hamburg’s craftsmanship: the Montblanc Noblesse Oblige, a fountain pen that embodies the refined taste of the 1990s with its slim and sleek design. This specimen stands out for its splendid Bordeaux (vinaccia) coloration, a warm, deep shade that pairs perfectly with the rich gold-plated finishes.
The heart of this writing instrument is the 14-carat gold nib (585), finely engraved and polished to offer a smooth and precise writing experience, typical of Montblanc’s high-end production. The Noblesse Oblige is famous for its linear design and for the presence of the double white star emblem: one on the top of the cap and one, rarer, inlaid at the base of the barrel, underscoring the meticulous attention to detail typical of this series.
The specimen is in excellent condition, with the body in precious resin free of cracks and the gilding brilliant. It features a practical cartridge or converter filling system, making it extremely versatile for daily use or for display in a prestigious collection.
