Peter Bardens – The Answer – UK First Pressing (1970) – Matrix STRA-222-A1 – Peter Green
Description:
Offered here is a highly collectible UK first pressing of the debut solo album by legendary British keyboardist Peter Bardens (founder of the progressive rock band Camel), titled "The Answer". Released in 1970 on the iconic purple and white Transatlantic Records label, this album is a masterclass in early Progressive and Psychedelic Blues Rock.
This specific copy is a genuine first issue, confirmed by the stamped matrix numbers in the runout: STRA-222-A1 and STRA-222-B1.
The album is legendary among collectors for featuring an uncredited performance by Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) on guitar, alongside guest vocals by Linda Lewis and Steve Ellis. It includes the epic 13-minute track "Homage to the God of Light", which later became a staple in Camel's live performances.

Condition:
Sleeve: Very Good Plus (VG+) – The fully laminated picture sleeve is in good condition, showing only minor shelf wear consistent with its age. Colors are vibrant, and the spine is intact.
