Description from the seller

The 2014 release of cult Whisky Octomore with a PPM rating of 258 this is the most heavily peated Octomore ever released (so far) and probably the peatiest Whisky the world has ever experienced.

Only 18,000 bottles released and made using 100% Islay Barley

Nose: Mossy and coastal, wet earth, minerally, tangarine skin, waxy fruit, smoked leather, herbal and floral notes.

Palate: Smoked oatmeal and spicy dried chilli to begin and then softening into waxy citrus, orange oil and the peat is actually well balanced and elegant.

Finish: Orange oil, waxy smoked citrus, more spice, burnt straw and minerally barley freshness.

Don't let the PPM and ABV level or the fact this is only 5 years old fool you, this is an interesting and elegant late addition to Jim McEwan's long list of achievements with the Bruichladdich distillery.
