Description from the seller
TOAST AT THE HOTEL is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this painting, the scene blends landscape and intimate moment in an atmosphere of rest and celebration. In the foreground, two glasses with luminous drinks —one golden and the other red— rest on a tray, crowned by lemon slices that catch the light. This simple gesture introduces a human and sensorial dimension within an open and exuberant setting.
The pool extends to the background like a deep blue mirror, reflecting the sky and the shadows of the palm trees. The composition guides the gaze through the water toward a small building in the distance, creating depth and a sense of escape.
The tropical vegetation — tall palm trees, stylized cypresses, and agaves — frames the space with verticality and freshness. The intense greens contrast with the blues of the water and the sky, while warm touches of flowers and cocktails provide chromatic balance.
The brushwork is loose and expressive, especially in the reflections on the water and in the foliage, where color overlays generate movement.
Toast at the Hotel conveys pleasure, pause, and complicity. It is an image that celebrates the moment: luxury is not ostentatious, but atmospheric, built through light, color, and the feeling of eternal summer.
