Description from the seller
Curatorial Description
In Altiva Quietud, Leandro Olano captures a moment of silent dominance, where the figure does not need to confront to assert itself. The raised face, barely open to the world, suggests a pause charged with inner security, a calm that is not passivity, but absolute control of one’s own presence.
The oil unfolds with a vibrant and contrasted palette: greens and yellows structure the background like a rhythmic pulse, while deep blues and incandescent reds model the face and torso with an almost sculptural force. The brushstroke is direct, confident, without concessions; each stroke reinforces the tension between light and shadow, between exposure and mystery.
The composition, dominated by the upward gesture of the neck and head, elevates the figure to an almost iconic plane. There is no narrative anecdote: there is character. Olano turns the portrait into an emotional manifesto, where identity is affirmed from stillness and color acts as a psychological language that reveals more than it hides.
From a curatorial reading, this work possesses an exceptional magnetic quality. It is a piece that transforms the space it inhabits, granting it presence, sophistication, and an indisputable contemporary energy. It functions both as the central work of a collection and as a visual tension point in a modern environment.
Altiva Quietud is an invitation to coexist with an image that does not seek to please, but to endure. A painting intended for collectors who value expressive force, clearly marked identity, and the emotional power of contemporary portraiture.
Certificates of authenticity will be sent with the artwork only in sales over 500 euros.
Acquiring this piece is to incorporate into your collection a work with character, intensity, and a presence that asserts itself with elegance and conviction.

RELEVANT ARCHITECTURAL PROJECTS
- In 2016, I designed a 3D model for remodeling the façade of the Las Tunas party hall “Luanda,” incorporating ceramic murals and color studies. The objective was to transform this space into a cultural and visual landmark in the city, highlighting its vibrant personality.
- In 2017, I designed in 3D the supermarket “El Ideal” with the main goal of improving access for consumers. The project focused on aspects such as aisle layout, product placement, entry and exit points, etc., to optimize circulation and facilitate the shopping experience. This design aimed to create a space that is more intuitive and accessible for all customers.
- In 2017, I had the privilege of creating the 3D design for the renovation of the emblematic supermarket “El Mambí” in Las Tunas. The project included the restoration of the surrounding area and optimization of pedestrian traffic spaces, seeking to improve accessibility and user experience. A key design element was the integration of a striking relief mural of 50 meters long. The idea was to transform an existing wall into a work of art that reflected the province’s identity and culture. After the initial 3D design, I became directly involved in mural creation, collaborating with other talented sculptors from Las Tunas. It was a rewarding experience to see how the 3D design came to life through hands-on work and collective creativity. The 3D design allowed visualizing and refining the proposal, ensuring that the mural integrated harmoniously with the supermarket’s architecture and the urban environment. The project not only improved the place’s aesthetics but also generated an attractive and meaningful public space for the community, making “El Mambí” a cultural landmark in Las Tunas.
- In 2018, I carried out the 3D design for remodeling the Cadillac Hotel, including a color study to modernize its image. The project focused on redesigning the lobby, rooms, and common areas. The color study aimed to create a welcoming, elegant, and relaxing atmosphere to enhance the guest experience.

- In 2019, I designed in 3D a cultural plaza for the community in the municipality of Calixto in Las Tunas, including terrain modifications, ranchos, and fountains. The project aimed to create a vibrant and functional public space that would promote social interaction and cultural activities. The terrain modifications, along with the incorporation of ranchos and fountains, sought to optimize the space to host diverse events and provide resting and recreational areas for the community.
- In 2020, I designed a 3D model of a funerary chapel with a practical facade redesign, with color studies, furnishings, and interiors. The objective was to create a space that combined the serenity and respect inherent to a place of mourning with a modern and welcoming aesthetic.
- In 2021, I designed a 3D model for a cultural park located in a vulnerable neighborhood of Las Tunas. The main goal was to create a space that not only offered green areas and recreation but also served as a community center promoting social and cultural inclusion.
- In 2022, I designed a 3D model for the remodeling of the Neptuno and Tritón Hotel in Havana, focusing on transforming the courtyard for recreational and cultural activities, along with color studies and ambiance. The aim was to revitalize this iconic space in the Miramar neighborhood, taking advantage of its prime location near the National Aquarium and the Jesús de Miramar church.
- In 2023, I designed a 3D model for the remodeling of the Santiago Hotel in the province of Las Tunas, focusing on creating a modern and functional space. The project included renewing key areas such as the bar, the café, and the restaurant, as well as incorporating innovative elements to improve the guest experience."} } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } }
