Description from the seller

Steve McCurry
Signed photograph by Steve McCurry
Rajasthan, India. 1983.
"I was driving along a road between Jodhpur and Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, India. It was sunny and incredibly hot, about 110 °F (43 °C), when the sky suddenly darkened and a pre-monsoon dust storm began. As the storm grew stronger and more dramatic, the air became thick with dust. Through the haze, I could see these women huddled along the sides of the road to shield themselves from the fierce wind. This region had been drought-stricken for more than a decade, and the women were singing a prayer for rain. I got out of the car, ran across a field, and photographed them a few moments before the storm subsided. Then the sun came out immediately, as if nothing had ever happened".

Steve McCurry is one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century, like Henri Cartier-Bresson, Helmut Newton, Robert Mapplethorpe, Elliott Erwitt, Annie Leibovitz, or Robert Capa, and has been regarded as an icon of 20th‑century culture, like Andy Warhol, Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons, or Banksy.
It will be shipped with international insured UPS courier.
