Montblanc 254 fountain pen, made in Germany, with black resin body and cap, gold-plated clip and fittings, Montblanc 14C OB nib, piston filling, 13 cm long and 1.2 cm in diameter, in good used condition and fully functional.
Description from the seller
A0000003178
This Montblanc 254 is presented in very good overall condition, standing out for the integrity of its materials and the correct preservation of its original components.
The body and cap in black resin retain a deep, uniform shine, with light micro-scratches characteristic of use and the passage of time, visible only under close inspection. No cracks, fissures, or deformations are observed.
The cap fits correctly and maintains its original shape. The clip and the gold bands show light, uniform wear, consistent with the pen’s age, with no corrosion or significant loss of plating. The Montblanc emblem on the cap finial remains well defined.
The original Montblanc 14C nib, with OB (broad oblique) point, is in very good structural condition, with no cracks or deformations, the tines properly aligned and the imprint clear. The ebonite feed adequately accompanies the nib and remains intact.
The piston-fump filling system has been verified and functions correctly, with smooth travel and good sealing, allowing efficient ink loading.
Overall, this is an authentic, well-preserved, fully functional example, suitable for both collection and regular use, faithfully reflecting the quality and character of postwar Montblancs of the 2xx series.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
Happy bidding!
