Coastal landscape oil painting on canvas by C. F. Bauer (Austria), 1930–1940, post-impressionist style, 78.2 × 118.3 cm, hand-signed, original edition, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Signed work (C.F. Bauer), oil on canvas cm. 78.2 x 118.3, depicting a coastal landscape, characterized by pale, livid tones of a leaden sky that dims the sun.
A painting of good quality, characterized by a suggestive composition that demonstrates the hand of a capable artist in the chromatic and perspectival rendering of the scene.
The signature allows the attribution hypothesis to the artist Carl Franz Bauer (Vienna, 1879 - 1954).
In good overall condition, the painting appears on a second canvas and the frame seems to have been replaced together with the lining; a small, more recent surface damage is visible but easily resolvable.
The photographs are an integral part of the description.
Careful packaging, trackable shipping.
Costs and shipping times may be higher due to export procedures and/or locations not usually reached by shipping services (especially outside the EU).
