Description from the seller
FRUTAS is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. In this work, the bouquet gains a direct and luminous strength through a clear and frontal composition. The decorated bowl, placed in the center, holds a selection of fruits that dialogue with each other through contrasts of shapes and colors: the vertical green pear, the round orange, the kiwi opened with its dark center, and the curved banana that unites the set.
The intense red background turns the scene into a vibrant and theatrical space, enhancing the freshness of the greens and yellows. This chromatic opposition generates a visual tension that keeps the gaze active and highlights the volume of each piece. The bowl, decorated with floral motifs, introduces an ornamental element that balances the formal simplicity of the whole. Its turquoise tone softens the background’s intensity and provides an intermediate point between warm and cool colors.
The brushwork is visible and confident, especially on the fruit skin, where the modeling is built through color overlays rather than meticulous details. The cast shadow adds depth and anchors the composition to the tabletop.
Frutas transforms a classic motif into a celebration of pure color, where formal simplicity and chromatic intensity turn the everyday into a vibrant image full of presence.
