This painting places us in the midst of a vibrant scene full of tension, where several riders launch themselves with impetus onto a bull in the open countryside. The composition is dominated by the diagonal movement of the horses, which burst from left to right in a fast and decisive action. The blue sky, broad and bright, occupies much of the background, creating a strong contrast with the intensity of the scene unfolding in the foreground. The brushwork builds a dynamic atmosphere where energy seems to expand beyond the edges of the canvas.

In the center of the scene, a dark bull charges or tries to break free while the riders surround it. One of the horses, black and muscular, rears up forcefully on its hind legs, creating a point of maximum visual tension. The rider upon it leans slightly forward, with the spear extended, actively taking part in the confrontation. Next to him, another rider dressed in light tones raises his arm in a firm gesture, underscoring the drama of the captured moment.
