A quad-core workstation-class laptop for its time: strong CPU, excellent screen, massive battery, and surprisingly capable integrated graphics thanks to Iris Pro’s on-chip eDRAM. The trade-off is classic Apple soldering—RAM , SSD still swappable with some cleverness.

A small aluminum time capsule from the moment when ports were plentiful, keyboards were still deep, and batteries were… gloriously enormous.
