The sculpture is lacquered with a two-component varnish to give greater gloss and durability; the work has hand-decorated gold leaf inserts. Each piece has unique veins compared to others in the same edition. The Artist emulates the Japanese technique of Kintsugi, born from the idea that from imperfection and a wound a form of greater aesthetic and inner perfection can arise, evoking the symbol of resilience.
