Littlemill Private Cellar 29 Year Old, a 70cl, 47.3% ABV whisky from Scotland’s Lowlands, bottled as a single bottle with original packaging, limited to 600 bottles and drawn from eight casks distilled in 1990.
Description from the seller
Of absolute rarity, this LITTLEMILL 29 Year Old — meticulously crafted in just 600 bottles — is composed of eight casks distilled in 1990, carefully married to embody the profound soul of the now-lost distillery.
The third release in the Private Cellar collection, this rare nectar — drawn from the final casks of the legendary Littlemill site — is limited to only 600 bottles. It is beautifully presented in a Glencairn crystal decanter, accompanied by a 5 cl miniature, a fragment of the original cask wood, and a booklet recounting its history, with the River Clyde delicately engraved in filigree on the glass.
A nod to the technical legacy of Duncan G. Thomas: the wort was fermented in a 25,000 L wash still, followed by an 18,000 L spirit still, both equipped with reflux columns and copper–aluminium cladding, allowing for a modulable double distillation — a signature characteristic of Littlemill.
A long 29-year maturation began in seven refill bourbon casks, followed by a dual finishing: one in first-fill Oloroso sherry, the other in Limousin oak, creating a subtle harmony between woody influence and floral softness.
The presentation case also includes a fragment of an original Littlemill cask and a booklet telling the story of the distillery, accompanied by tasting notes from master blender Michael Henry.
