Description from the seller

The Waterman’s Ideal 452 Lever-Filler fountain pen is presented in excellent state of preservation, especially notable for the quality of its metal body in solid sterling silver, which maintains a clean, uniform, and very attractive appearance.
The body and cap preserve clearly their original geometric guilloché pattern, with a well-defined and uniform engraving across the entire surface. The decorative reliefs remain clear and legible, showing only slight micro-signs of use consistent with its age, without significant dings, deformations or deep wear. The silver presents a soft and natural patina that enhances its vintage character.
The cap maintains its correct geometry and fit, with a firm and functional screw. The model number 452 is clearly marked on the top of the cap. The original Waterman “ball-end” clip is complete and firm, maintaining good tension.
The black ebonite section is in very good condition, with natural shine and no visible cracks. The lever-filler loading system preserves its original lever correctly integrated into the body.
The original Waterman’s Ideal 14-karat gold nib is in excellent structural condition. It features the characteristic heart-shaped breathing hole and preserves clear and deep engravings. It is a medium nib (M) with flex, capable of expressive writing with line variation under moderate pressure. The nib tips are correctly aligned and the surface of the nib maintains a clean shine.
Overall, this Waterman 452 represents a very well-preserved piece for its age, maintaining its original components and an aesthetically especially elegant presence thanks to its engraved silver finish.
A historic fountain pen that combines manufacturing quality, classic beauty, and the flexible writing experience characteristic of Waterman pens from the early 20th century.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
